WASTE COLLECTION
Waste collection normally takes place on the following days:
Mixed waste - Monday and Thursday
Glass - Monday
Plastics - Tuesday
Paper - Thursday
All waste must be placed in containers (bins), not outside.
Recycled as well as mixed waste bins are designed for ordinary household waste. Please take any bulky waste directly to the collection yard (the nearest one is in Voctářova Street, more information here), if it is a bulkier carton or plastic packaging, you can use large containers around the house for that. At the same time, the city district regularly delivers large-volume containers to various locations in Prague 8, see information here. It is forbidden to place any waste in the common areas of the house, except for waste placed in the bins, which are designed for this purpose.
Garbage placed next to garbage cans will not be taken away by garbage collectors!
Waste recycling IN KARLIN
Paper, plastic and stained glass can be sorted and placed directly in the bins in the courtyard of the house. If you sort separately white glass, there are, for example, containers on the corner of Pernerova / Thámova or Karlínské náměstí streets. Within walking distance of the house there are also containers for metal packaging, Tetrapak or electrical waste (everything is together, for example, on Karlínské náměstí).
